Apartment Therapy Chicago asks where your home-ec skills came from, I suppose assuming they weren’t learned in the classroom. Which got me wondering if home economics is still a course in some schools? I don’t think it was ever offered when I was growing up and definitely not in high school. I did go to an arts and communications magnet which would explain it, but I’m pretty certain it wasn’t offered in any of the other city schools.
